The aim of the project is to prove sustainability through teaching methodologies and proper equipment to integrate the use of the device in district level health facilities in patients 0-5 years of age.
Western studies show that CPAP can work better than mechanical ventilation in some patients, and decreases mortality in neonates. The overarching goal is to decrease neonatal and pediatric mortality rates in district level health facilities.
Illustrations were created for a training model (including a PowerPoint and training manual) for the use of educating clinicians (specifically targeted at Rwanda and Kenya) on a respiratory device called 'Bubble CPAP'.
